Running for Refugee Action

I will be running the Oxford Half Marathon on October 9th. 13.1 miles (21 km) around the city taking in such famous sites as the Radcliffe Camera and the Sheldonian Theatre.
I’ll be raising money for Refugee Action, a charity that helps those that have fled the world’s worst regimes and been granted asylum in the UK to rebuild their lives in Britain – see . Many refugees have been the victims of torture, imprisonment, death threats and rape. They arrive in the UK with nothing and once they have been granted leave to stay receive no specialist support. Refugee Action, as you’ll see from the stories on their website – helps refugees find housing, perfect their English, receive psychological / medical help, employment and everything else that they need to begin a happy and productive new life, safe from persecution.

You can help me support this work by donating directly to my fundraising page –

JustGiving sends your donation straight to Refugee Action and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.
